The Abbood Family - Sean

Sean – Psalm 128:1–4

(Oil on Wood panel, 50x50cm, 2025)

“How joyful are those who fear the LORD - all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table. That is the LORD's blessing for those who fear him.”

This painting of Sean holds the weight of a life that has been changed — not by chance, but by grace.
He is a father, a musician, a songwriter, and a man whose spirit is rooted deep in faith. There is something of King David in him — not only in the music he carries, but in the way his heart leans toward God. A man who has known the valley, the shadow, the fire… and chose to turn toward the light.

In the paint, you will find scripture woven into the layers, the way faith settles into a person’s bones, quiet and unshakeable. Around his arm, the faint music notes from his favorite worship song wrap him like a memory — a testimony that worship is not something he performs, but something he lives.

And his hand — placed gently in front of his eye — is not a pose. It is a language of love. A private sign, shared with his daughter. A reminder that tenderness is strength, and that God restores what once felt lost.

Sean has walked the long road. He once lived as the world’s kind of rock star — high, loud, fast, and breaking apart at the edges. Drinking. Gambling. Running. But when he encountered Jesus, he didn’t just turn — he returned. To himself. To love. To purpose.

His marriage healed. His relationship with his children was restored.
The music changed, yes — but more than that, the man changed.
